The real risk is using it without discernment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many professionals now feel they are falling behind in the AI race simply because they cannot keep up with every new tool, feature, agent, platform or productivity promise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But this feeling often hides a more important question: why do we need to keep up with all of it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In career development, the objective is not to master every AI tool. The objective is to identify the real professional problem, ask the right questions, and use the right support at the right time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AI is very strong at gathering information, summarising options and presenting facts quickly. But facts alone rarely transform a career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A professional may know what skills are in demand, what salary range appears reasonable, or what interview answers sound convincing. The harder work is different: understanding which facts apply to their situation, what question they should really be asking, and which decision is credible in their market, company culture and personal context.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_direction=&#8221;default&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1777541866611{margin-top: 50px !important;}&#8221;]\n<h2 class=\"h3like\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>The importance of the quality of questions<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the most underestimated limits of AI in career development is not the quality of the answers. It is the quality of the questions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many professionals do not initially know what they really need to ask.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They may ask for a better CV when the real issue is unclear positioning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They may ask for interview tips when the deeper issue is a lack of confidence or weak market targeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They may ask whether they should resign when the real question is whether their current environment still allows them to grow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobprofile.ch\/en\/career-coaching\/\">Human coaching<\/a> helps surface the right question before rushing toward an answer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This matters because much of the current AI conversation is driven by solutions looking for problems. New tools appear every week, each promising to revolutionize work, productivity or decision-making.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_direction=&#8221;default&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1777541815449{margin-top: 50px !important;}&#8221;]\n<h2 class=\"h3like\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>But in career coaching, the problem must always come first<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is the person trying to regain confidence?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reposition themselves on the market?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Negotiate better?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exit a toxic environment?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare for leadership?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rebuild employability?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clarify whether the next step should be internal or external?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only once the real problem is clear does it make sense to decide whether AI, coaching, assessment, market intelligence or direct networking is the right lever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perhaps the greatest risk is not that AI gives us too little. It may be that it gives us too much, too quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More answers, more options, more templates, more advice, but less time to think.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Career progress requires thinking time. It requires distance, reflection, contradiction, silence, challenge and synthesis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is precisely where human coaching remains valuable: not because it delivers faster answers, but because it creates the conditions for better judgment.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_direction=&#8221;default&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1777541799971{margin-top: 50px !important;}&#8221;]\n<h2 class=\"h3like\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>What human coaching really brings<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Human coaching brings another form of intelligence into the process: judgment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not judgment in the sense of judging the person, but professional discernment. The ability to listen to what is said, what is avoided, what is emotionally charged, what is repeated and what does not fit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A good coach does not only answer the question asked. A good coach helps identify the real question behind it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is especially important in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobprofile.ch\/en\/programs-modules-for-career-coaching\/\">career development<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People often come with a surface problem: \u201cI need to update my CV.\u201d \u201cI want to change jobs.\u201d \u201cI need to prepare for an interview.\u201d \u201cI want to ask for a promotion.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But behind that, there may be a deeper issue: loss of confidence, unclear positioning, weak market visibility, poor self-advocacy, exhaustion, values misalignment, or a professional identity that has not evolved with the person\u2019s experience.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_direction=&#8221;default&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1777541725658{margin-top: 50px !important;}&#8221;]\n<h2 class=\"h3like\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Conclusion<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AI can help formulate. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Human coaching helps interpret.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This distinction changes everything.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because when a career decision becomes important, it does not depend only on the quality of an answer. It depends on the ability to understand the situation, read the context, assess the risks and decide with discernment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But there is another, even more sensitive limit: when career decisions touch trust, confidentiality, bias, ethics and professional identity, the question is no longer only whether AI gives a good answer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The question becomes: who do we trust with our most important decisions?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is the subject of the third part of this series.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row type=&#8221;in_container&#8221;
