People often ask us at Jobprofile what our secret is—what sets us apart. This publication is an opportunity to present our approach, which, at the heart of the Swiss economic landscape, has become a pioneer by combining HR expertise with a deep understanding of organizational cultural dynamics.
Jobprofile has just celebrated its 27th anniversary. And I can say that for more than 10 years, we have progressively evolved from a traditional recruitment and coaching firm into a true strategic partner in building high-performing and aligned teams. Alongside Dr. Sandra Carmignani—business anthropologist, consultant in culture and team dynamics—we have developed a unique diagnostic method, rooted in anthropological insights, that transforms how companies understand and shape their internal culture. An approach that goes beyond talent acquisition to foster sustainable growth and employee engagement, particularly for SMEs.
From transactional recruitment to strategic partnership
Thirteen years ago, I set myself the mission of reinventing recruitment. Tired of the traditional “CV-pushing” model, where headhunters simply passed files to HR departments, I chose a much more engaged posture. My ambition was to immerse myself in companies’ ecosystems—playing the role of facilitator, coach, mentor, and advisor. I wanted to do more, better, and differently. The goal was clear: to help organizations build teams not only with strong skills, but also truly aligned with their values, vision, and long-term ambitions.
This shift was based on a strong conviction: corporate culture—this set of shared values, implicit behaviors, and informal codes—is an invisible force that determines either success or stagnation. Too often overlooked in recruitment, it can lead to costly mismatches when ignored. My first explorations in this area, initially thought of as a complement to headhunting, quickly revealed a much broader potential: contributing directly to organizational health.
A complementary duo for greater impact
The journey took on a new dimension with Sandra Carmignani. Her expertise in social and cultural anthropology became the methodological foundation of Jobprofile. Together, we first tested our approach with a small circle of trusted clients. Today, our clients include established companies in French-speaking Switzerland across sectors such as banking, watchmaking, energy, healthcare, hospitality, and fast-moving consumer goods. Thanks to referrals, we soon gained the trust of companies of all sizes—from young startups to large established groups.
Sandra now leads cultural diagnostics and oversees their implementation. As a true conductor of transformation, she pilots cultural change and facilitates every key step. With her guidance, workshops become powerful levers to engage teams and embed transformation over time. Her passion lies in people: deeply understanding the dynamics that drive organizations and transforming those insights into tangible results. With her anthropological methodology, she gathers reliable data that form the basis for sustainable, meaningful transformation. The feedback speaks for itself: “We did not expect such a measurable impact on team dynamics and overall performance,” one SME leader told me.
People at the center, data as a compass, performance as the result
What sets Jobprofile apart is its anthropological approach to cultural diagnostics, in a field traditionally dominated by self-assessment surveys. Rather than limiting ourselves to measuring satisfaction, engagement, or workplace climate—visible and often subjective symptoms—we explore the roots of culture. This unique depth reveals what truly shapes organizational performance. Business anthropology applies ethnographic methods—observation, interviews, analysis of interactions—to uncover the invisible layers of organizational life. It treats the company as a “micro-society” governed by its rituals, symbols, and power codes.
Concretely, we combine the anthropologist’s eye, the precision of psychometric tools, and the power of AI to deliver cultural diagnostics that reveal what traditional surveys cannot. Our tool “Adequacy,” for example, gathers data on corporate culture, values, motivations, and personality traits to measure alignment between individuals and the organization. The scientific interpretation of results, led by the anthropologist, takes the analysis further: observing real interactions, decoding implicit norms, identifying rituals, decision-making channels, or communication styles.
Where others favor long and heavy transformations, we offer concrete, agile action plans—with visible change in a short time. Our method acts on multiple levers: behaviors, values, vision, structure, team dynamics, leadership, and management. Its effectiveness is particularly striking where agility matters most: for example, small teams of around ten people, where every decision quickly translates into visible, measurable results.
Looking ahead: culture as a competitive advantage
Our experience, confirmed by the many clients we have supported, shows that culture is not a luxury but a strategic lever essential for success. By combining ethnographic depth with operational tools, Jobprofile enables companies to recruit and integrate truly aligned talent while cultivating environments where both individuals and teams can thrive.
If you want to move beyond traditional surveys and transactional recruitment—and truly understand what drives your organization’s performance—our approach is built for you. Together, we can explore the deep dynamics of your culture, reveal its hidden strengths, and turn those insights into concrete levers for sustainable performance.
